Announcing U-LAB Music's Artist in Residence program

Here at U-LAB Music we are proud to announce our Artist in Residence program featuring local musicians and artists from Miami. Each month, a local featured artist will curate and create content for U-LAB Music’s social and digital platforms. In addition, the artist will have a pop up studio at the U-LAB Music Space that will feature performances, Facebook Livestreams, and other events.
The Artist in Residence program leverages young and talented musicians in Miami, providing them with a digital platform and physical space to expand to new audiences. The first resident artist is Chato! (Esteban Montaño Lara), a Mexican/Puerto Rican DJ, producer and multifaceted artist. He is the co-host of Global Locos, a webshow dedicated to showcasing local and international artists fusioning world music with electronic vibes. Chato! co-founded the Latin inspired apparel shop Surropa.com and is an advocate of the Global Bass party scene in Miami.
During the month of August, Chato! will have a pop up studio at the U-LAB Music Space in Miami's Little River neighborhood and will curate and create content for Univision digital platforms, including a video premiere by EDM DJ and producers IVARR and Ma-Less of the song ‘Brinca’ from La Clínica Records, from Grammy-winning producer and audio engineer Franklin “El Médico” Rodríguez.
U-LAB Music will officially kick-off the program on Thursday, August 10th in the new U-LAB Music space in Little River's MADE at the Citadel. The event will feature music sets by Chato! and surprise guests and original art by Ahol Sniffs Glue. For more details on this event and to RSVP, click here.
